An excellent thriller centered around the death of the charismatic owner of a medical research company. Nicholas Spencer owns Genstone, a major company dedicated to developing a cancer vaccine. Many people invest their savings in the project. But Nicholas disappears in a strange plane accident, and shortly afterward it is discovered that the vaccine trials had been a failure and that, in addition, Nicholas was suspected of a massive embezzlement.

Journalist Marcia DeCarlo, half-sister of Spencer’s widow, begins investigating all the dark affairs. Uncovering the truth could be very dangerous because a conspiracy is being hidden.

The plot is simpler than in the author's other novels, which makes this book ideal for casual reading—with the added benefit of being clean from beginning to end. It’s an easy, highly entertaining, and intriguing read. The suspense lasts until the final page. It’s a bestseller.
