Brant Pitre is well known for his excellent book Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist. In this new book, the author shares his own difficulties, experience and personal research to try to explain the Scriptural foundations of the teachings of the Catholic Church about Mary.

The book is clear and very engaging. Pitre combines detailed explanations with his own personal reflections in a very lively way, making the whole reading delightful. The chapters give thorough explanations about why Mary is called “The New Eve”; “The New Ark”; “The Queen Mother”; “The Perpetual Virgin” or “The New Rachel.” A wonderful book to make our devotion to Our Lady more solid.
