The book proposes to venture into the wilderness of insecurity and criticism and to live with authenticity and transparency. We will be inwardly free when we do not care about the expectations others have of us. True belonging requires the courage to be oneself with integrity. It suggests other ways to find one's place: trust and vulnerability. In this world in crisis, it is best to transform one's pain into compassion for others, to heal one's wounds.

The author explains that her mission is to make the world a braver place through the work she loves. That requires setting boundaries, responsibility, discretion, integrity and non-judgment. One must humanize existence so when defending one's convictions it is good to do so with respect and civility.

The style of the book is pleasant, with meaningful stories; the author speaks from the heart. It moves in the world of common sense and sociological statistics. The book is a best seller, it has become a “New York Times Best Seller”.
