During a trip to Washington DC, the young lawyer Theodore Boone sees a familiar face in the subway: Pete Duffy, a man accused of murder, who had escaped without a trace. Thanks to his reflexes and intelligence, Theo will get Duffy back to the judge. But now that Duffy knows his face and knows who Theo is, the young lawyer is in more danger than ever. It is easy to read and the plot, as in all of Grisham's books, deals with issues of advocacy, trials.
