This book narrates the story of an employee who, on returning from his work feels ill and leans on a tree where he falls asleep. On awakening, he is the same physically, but interiorly becomes a portuguese writer who had died a few moments before. He makes contact with persons related to his life as a writer, since they are only memories which he has. A friend of this writer, a doctor, who detains him in spite of the fact that at the same time the police are searching for the original man who has been reported missing. At this stage the action of the book begins with different happenings. The book is interesting, although it may lead one astray through the confusion which derives from assuming a different personality, just as if the spirit of a dead man was lodged in his body, during the seven years of the events. The atmosphere described in the novel in some passages is a bit sordid, with drugs, tension, etc.
