Holly Orway holds a Ph.D. in English Philology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, specializing in authors such as Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, etc. She is currently on the faculty of Houston Baptist University and teaches apologetics. This is a very interesting book, in which the author tells how she went from being a convinced atheist to Christianity and, soon after, to joining the Catholic Church. The starting point was the question: what is there after death?

Holly Ordway is a university professor, convinced of the role of reason in reaching the truth. This, together with the help of various people, including her fencing coach, will lead her, always with reason as a support, to conversion and a radical change of life, which will also lead her to approach simple people who have a living faith and to accept doctrine over intellectual speculation.
