Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri was a woman who sought to seek holiness in the midst of the world. Many consider her a model because of her way of working, how she gave herself to others in friendship and the way she lived, always full of joy. She studied Chemistry in years in which very few women went to the university. In 1944 she met Saint Josemaría, who opened up to her a new panorama in her life: that a work well done is a place to meet Christ and serve others, and that she could spread this message with her life. From then on, with her own initiative and the trust in God, she worked with joy — in Spain, Mexico, and Italy — in scientific research, the direction of centers dedicated to the formation of university women, the work of the home and the promotion of solidarity initiatives.
