In the first part of the book we find the life memories of Cardinal Robert Sarah: his childhood, in a village in the forest of Guinea Konakri, and his memories of the seven Popes he has known. It shows his heroism in the defense of Church freedom during the marxist government of Séku Turé, who imprisoned the Konakri Bishop in a concentration camp during eight years, and planned to murder his successor, Robert Sarah, who was at that time the youngest Bishop in the world, with 34 years.

The rest of the book is devoted to interesting questions about God, the Church and the world: the postcouncil crisis, priesthood celibacy and the role of women in the Church, prayer and liturgical life, relativism, nihilism, the fight against poverty, the spiritual crisis in Europe and a lot of interesting topics in today's christian life. The book is written like an interesting conversation in which Cardinal Sarah shows wisdow and eloquency. His deep piety and trust in God allows to reflect in these pages his faith on Church and contemporary men and women, aplying good examples and defending the faith with serenity and strenght against modern errors.
