The author, an American theologian and philosopher, is known as the founder of the Totus Tuus Press and Chastity Project. This book about St. John Paul II focuses on his five loves. Through unpublished stories Evert explores these great loves: Young people; Human love; the Eucharist; the Blessed Virgin and the Cross. His aim is to make known these central aspects of the Pope's life and teachings in order to increase faith and love and to bring readers closer to the itinerary he followed and which culminated in his canonization.
The prologue is written by a Swiss guard, Mario Enzler, who gratefully shares his experiences.
