Collection of crime short stories, characterized by the suspense, the unexpected, the horror of the situation. The best-known novel from this book is It Had to Be Murder, which was adapted to film in 1954 by Hitchcock, under the name Rear Window. The history Three O'Clock is also very good, and was also adapted to cinema.
