On the planet Eltanin, a colony of Earthlings belonging to the Planetary League is on the brink of extinction due to the planet’s harsh living conditions and an unexpected threat. They have no neighbors other than primitive nomads who, although they fear the Earthlings, settle near the colony during the cruel winters that last for fifteen years.
In the approaching winter, a previously unknown danger threatens them all. The barbarian hordes from the north, the criminal specters of the snow, are approaching the colony, and if the Earthlings do not join forces with the nomads, overcoming six centuries of distrust, this may be the last winter for all of them.
