Con este poemario, la autora, nacida en Santa Clara (Cuba) en 1971, ha obtenido el Premio Alegría de Poesía, patrocinado por el Ayuntamiento de Santander (España), de 2019. El título responde bien al contenido: una larga evocación de la infancia y de otros momentos de la vida de la autora en los que el mar tiene un simbólico protagonismo y que le llevan a reflexionar sobre la belleza, la vida, las relaciones con los demás, etc.
En un lenguaje lleno de imágenes expresivas, con un ritmo pausado, deja un poso de ganas de vivir, de gratitud, de búsqueda de lo bello y de lo que nos enriquece realmente.
