Una serie de novelas (ya escribió por lo menos ocho) sobre Artemis Fowl, un genio de 12 años, que quiere dominar el mundo. El libro se pasa entre un mundo real y un mundo mágico, con muchos elementos típicos de la literatura de este género. Usa un lenguaje divertido y desvergonzado, y desmitifica un poco esos típicos mundos de las novelas donde los malos son malísimos y los buenos buenísimos: nuestro protagonista es un chico normal, con sus virtudes y defectos: inteligente, ambicioso, a veces un tanto rebelde, pero con buenas intenciones…
