This work acquaints the reader with the different Lauretana litanies, explaining their theological meaning, as well as their historical and liturgical origins, and comparing them also with other litanies. Throughout the book, there are commentaries on Christian doctrine, especially on the Marian and Christological aspects of the litanies, which are very useful. Of lesser interest are the linguistic explanations, at times excessively technical. A.R. (2007)
