It is a humorous short story about an editor who is only interested in increasing sales and does not realize that he has just met the protagonist of a novel who is very upset because he believes that his life has been ruined. The writer mocks the stratagems of the publishing industry. Unpublished until 2017, it was discovered and published by The New Yorker weekly.
Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was an American novelist, he is considered one of the best writers of the lost generation of the twentieth century. Despite his numerous short stories, novels and the great success The Great Gatsby he died almost unknown.
