Another Flavia de Luce novel with the same enchantment which has become the signature of the Flavia books. The setting is the family country house Buckshaw which for financial reasons has been rented to a film company over the Christmas holidays. A murder takes place, and Flavia puts her perception, her not insignificant talent and suggestions, at the disposal of the chief inspector. The book is full of Flavia’s quick, clever and amusing responses to the varied situations she finds herself in.
