This fascinating account was written together by a couple of former pastors and founders of a free Swedish Protestant evangelical movement. The movement gained significant influence in Eastern European countries and Russia after the fall of the wall, as well as in several Asian countries. In their narrative, they describe their intellectual journey, which was highly rational, and began with the reading of a biography of Saint Bridget. This process lasted about twelve years until they were baptized into the Catholic Church.
Their journey was a true clash with reality, as, according to them, "the Catholic religion is the one that has preserved the original faith in its historical continuity, the faith of the early Church, with the firm support of the first Church Fathers" (p. 211). This revelation shattered a world full of prejudices in which they had been raised.
