Classic Spanish theatre piece. Fuenteovejuna is a village in rural Castile that suffers under the government of a vicious and cruel nobleman. Desirous of justice, all the inhabitants of the village attack the castle and kill the lord. But fearful of the king's justice, they agree among themselves that the author of this act is all Fuenteovejuna. When the trial takes place, all together will hold this position.
