David Baldacci published his first book on 1996: since then, he has published about one hundred million copies sold in 45 languages. Many of his works have been adapted to the big screen or television.

This is an intriguing novel in which the special agent John Puller, war veteran and main character of the previous book "Zero Day", is dedicated to unveiling the cause of the death of an aunt of his, who died apparently accidentally. The action takes place in the state of Florida, in the urbanization Paradise, and is full of incidents, mostly unsubstantial. It contains several sensual scenes.
