The plot consists in the adventures of a nice, young indecisive hunter of monsters who grows stronger in the face of difficulties. It is a humorous novel full of irony and emotional relations. It is written for young and adult readers who like this kind of novel. Finn is a boy who is twelve years old who lives in Bocanegra, a contemporary coastline town. His mother, Clara, is the town’s dentist and Hugo, his father, one of the best hunters of the legends (mythological monsters) at the present time. Following the family tradition Finn ought to follow the task of his father, to protect Bocanegra against the legends, but as a learning hunter he is incompetent and besides he wants to be a veterinary surgeon. The book is beautifully illustrated with drawings of the scenes and is the first of a series of them.
