A scholarly yet not complicated explanation of the articles of the Christian Creed with their historical framework and councils that originated them, especially Nicea and Constantinople. Although more centred on the Apostles Creed and in the Nicean-Constantinople one the author also gives us the texts of other professions of faith, such as the Creed of Chalcedon, the Athanasian Creed, the Creed of the IV Lateran Council and the Creed of the People of God by Pope Paul VI.
