Narration of Christmas theme that evokes childhood memories of family celebrations between big snowfalls, extraordinary meals, and gifts more useful than satisfactory. Dylan Thomas expresses, in terms very typical of his poetry, the sensations of a day different from the most, Christmas, in the environment of a small fishing village in the first decades of the twentieth century. His style combines the simplicity of expression typical of the narrator's age with surrealist images and metaphors, and the avant-garde grammatical construction that characterizes his poems.
