Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation on Love in the Family.

«Focusing on love in the family, this Apostolic Exhortation is undoubtedly a hymn to the "joy of love", full of hope, faith and optimism.

Following the two Synods on the Family in 2014 and 2015, the text containing the conclusions of Pope Francis' meetings with bishops from around the world will be published on Friday 8 April.

The text, somewhat longer than Laudato si', the Pope's previous magisterial document, is a theological and pastoral reflection on the family written in language accessible to all readers. The title alludes to the optimistic and positive outlook that the Pope gives to the doctrine on the family, in order to help, encourage and stimulate everyone, especially married couples.

The Holy Father wanted this text to serve - along with others - as a frame of reference in this Year of Mercy and to summarize the vision of how the Catholic Church should face the challenges that the institution of the family faces in today's world.
