Moral assessment:
George Weigel explains the different doctrines of the Catholic faith making use of historical places, books, and the lives of some contemporary people. The book is very readable, engaging and interesting, and should provide a good tool for young people to understand better the teachings of the Catholic Church. Topics covered include vocation, purity, prayer, death, freedom, and orthodox doctrine versus liberal Catholicism. The style and the setting is quite American but should be of use to young people all over the world. The book ends on a very optimistic note, reminding the reader that as a young believer he is part of a huge number of people all over the world who have a similar vision.
