This is the second of the author's science fiction trilogy with a strong Christian didactic message. Two scientists make the journey to Venus, one a force for good (Dr Ransom) and to the evil. Dr Ransom wants to save the planet for committing its first 'original sin' and thus lose its innocence.

C. S. Lewis was born in 1898 and died in 1963, having been an enormously popular religious and moral writer. He spent most of his life in Oxford before ending his days in Cambridge. This is a simple parallel tale of 'the Fall', a thinly disguised science fiction tale wanting to give a clear Christian message.
