Book quite similar to the Vessel of Clay; perhaps less known, but its quality is not inferior. Originally written for priests, but laypeople can profit from it too. The author reveals here the sense of depth of everyday life, the simplicity woven by overcoming current problems, which is present in all his works. Vocation is the work of a lifetime, made up of the vagaries of nature assisted by grace. It is not an irresistible impulse, neither is it the fundamental option of a moment, but it must be actualized with daily fidelity to the will of God. The priest may feel discouraged or tempted by things left behind; the author explains that the fragility of clay is inherent to every human action.
