Dimanche and other stories

Compilation of fifteen stories (the first one is entitled Dimanche) published in various French magazines before the Second World War. The subject matter is diverse, although family references are repeated from different angles. The episodes take place in France and feature members of the bourgeoisie who are bitterly criticized. He develops each story in very short spaces and times. The point of view is very critical of people who are unable to assume their commitments. The stories and psychological profiles are accurate, realistic and reflect a materialistic and decadent society that does not seem to see its world crumbling. The language is very rich, of great formal beauty.
