Little Neil witnesses the brutal murder of his mother, young Nina, who is married to Steve. Then a mysterious series of women's deaths ensue and Neil and Steve's girlfriend Sharon are kidnapped. The story becomes even more fascinating. A debate that runs throughout the novel is the death penalty: Steve is for it and Sharon is against it. The ending is superb. 

A brilliant thriller, it has all the narrative strength of the author. The characters are very well developed, and the story is easy to read, interesting and entertaining. Highly recommended for genre lovers.
