The Wonderful Adventure of Nils Holgersson

Adventure novel with the one the author won the Nobel Prize for literature. It tells the story of Nils Holgersson, a boy who lives on a farm and enjoys the company of the animals that live there. One day, he becomes small, so that he can travel on the back of a wild goose, which joins a flock of migrating ducks. So they begin a journey through all Sweden.
The book tells the adventures that happen to Nils in this fantastic journey, where the protagonists are always animals and Swedish cities, as well as the legends and stories of the country. Through these narrations, the author lets young and old know the history of her country, showing a great love for her homeland and highlighting the virtues of its inhabitants. She also shows the evolution of Nils, who at first was a selfish and rebellious child, but who little by little, by geting to know his land, learns to care for others.
Book written for children, but that adults can also enjoy.
