The first full biography of Australia's prime minister between 1932 and 1939, Joseph Aloysius Lyons, who dominated Australian politics throughout the 1930's. After his death in 1939,  his wife Dame Edith Lyons entered Federal Parliament in 1942. She was the first women to serve in the Parliament, and in the Cabinet as well.
