The main character is former military police officer Jack Reacher who wanders around the United States and in this case, while trying to prevent a robbery, finds himself immersed in a war between two organized crime gangs.  Having no choice but to continue helping the old man he freed from the robbery, he decides to take down the gangs. Well narrated, in first person, it keeps the attention and entertains, although sometimes the lengthy descriptions can be tiring. The events narrated are somewhat implausible but they reveal real facts perhaps unknown to people outside the United States. It has some sexual notes, without descriptions, that don't affect the story as a whole.
