The aim of this small and magnificent book is to make accessible to everyone the essential truths about Purgatory according to the doctrine of the Catholic Church. In addition to the good explanation, it gathers an interview that the author, a French nun, Sister Emmanuel, made directly to Maria Simma (1915-2004), the well-known Austrian mystic who had the gift -given by God- of communicating directly with the souls in purgatory.

The reading of this text makes it easier to understand that Purgatory “is a brilliant invention on the part of God”. It explains what it consists of, the sins that most lead to it, the role of the Blessed Virgin and of the angels with respect to the blessed souls. It is clear what suffrages are, plenary and partial indulgences, what happens to people who commit suicide, spiritualism, the danger of sects.

The testimonies touch the sensibility of the readers in such a way that after knowing them there is a living awareness of the need they have of our help to go to heaven, and of the infinite value of the Holy Mass, the Holy Rosary, the Way of the Cross and our sufferings offered for the souls in Purgatory. It is also clear how they assist us, know our needs and obtain many graces for us. Highly recommended for everyone and especially for those who will not read a more extensive book on the subject.
