"The Story of Alice" was published in the sesquicentennial of "Alice in Wonderland" and focuses on Lewis Carroll (the author of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass"), Alice Liddell (the little girl who inspired those stories), and the resulting "Alice" the phenomenon itself, as well as the continuing influence the Alice stories have had. This book is about how those two Lewis Carroll stories came to be written. Although not offering a great deal of new material, this book is a thoughtful, far-reaching narrative of the life and times of Carroll, Liddell and the fictional Alice. G.E.D. (United States, 2016)
