An old biography of Augustus (Octavio), Emperor of Rome, who was born on 63 B.C., and died on 14 A.D. The author marks that his main success was not the military victories (Augustus was a weak general), but above all his performance in politics: he had a good common sense, that committed himself to reform the old republic. Augustus made it possible for the common citizen to live and work in peace; later this golden period was referred to as "immensae romanae pax maiestas". It was during this time that Jesus Christ was born. J.G. (Portugal, 2017)
